GENERAL INFORMATION/TERMS AND CONDITIONS

ATTENDANCE

The minimum attendance at the nursery is three sessions per week, i.e. a full day plus a morning or afternoon, or any three mornings or afternoons.

ADMISSIONS

The nursery maintains a waiting list that is operated on a "first come, first served" basis, initially allocating all full-time and full day places and then subsequently the remaining part time places.

NURSERY FEES

To register your child at Lingfield Nursery there is a £25 registration fee, which is non-refundable. The registration fee, together with a completed registration form, places your child's name on our waiting list, it does not however guarantee that a place will be available.

Fees are due weekly in advance and are payable on the first session of each week. However, we are happy to accept a monthly standing order if you prefer. Fees are still payable in respect of non-attendance due to illness or holidays. Although, unlike other nurseries, we do not charge for the weeks we close or Bank Holidays. Should the nursery have to close due to an emergency, fees cannot be refunded.

NOTICE

Four complete weeks notice of withdrawal in writing is required or fees in lieu. As much notice of family holidays would also be much appreciated

PERSONAL BELONGINGS

It is requested that children do not bring toys or sweets into the nursery or wear jewellery. Regrettably the nursery cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to toys or clothing.

COLLECTION OF CHILDREN

Children will only be handed over to parents unless otherwise informed by parents and preferably in writing.

CLOTHING & EQUIPMENT

Your child should be dressed in suitable clothing to enable independent use of the toilet.  A complete change of clothing is necessary since accidents occasionally occur.

Please also provide a comb or hairbrush, outdoor shoes or boots, a toothbrush and label all outer clothing, spare shoes or boots to avoid misunderstandings.

The nursery will provide children with a shoe bag for their personal belongings.

ILLNESS

In order for us to protect your child and other children in the nursery, please do not send your child if he/she has been sick, had a high temperature or had diarrhoea within the last 24 hours prior to arrival at the nursery.

If a child becomes ill whilst at the nursery he/she will be isolated (but well cared for) and parents will be contacted and arrangements will have to be made to take the child home.

Children having had an illness that is either contagious or infectious will only be re-admitted to the nursery with a doctors note.

MEDICINES

All medicines brought into the nursery must be clearly labelled with the child's name and handed directly to a member of staff. Written permission from the child's doctor or parent stating correct dosage and times is imperative as without it we are unable to give your child their medicine. We will also require you to sign our medicine book.

Only medicines prescribed by a doctor will be allowed into the nursery. Any child on antibiotics should not attend nursery for the first 48 hours of starting the course. It is recommended that parents only bring into the nursery the days dosage of medicine to avoid the possibility of giving too much.
