We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage framework to support our children's learning, welfare and development.  The six areas of this framework are :-

  1. Personal, social & emotional development
  2. Communication, language & literacy
  3. Problem solving, reasoning and numeracy
  4. Knowledge & understanding of the world
  5. Physical development
  6. Creative development

For more information about the early years foundation stage please speak to the nursery manager.

The early years foundation stage has been developed to support our children's learning, development and welfare.  The principles of the framework are :-

  • A Unique Child - Every child is a competent learner from birth who can be resilient, capable and self assured.
  • Positive Relationships - Children learn to be strong and independent from a base of loving and secure relationships with parents and / or a key person.
  • Enabling Environments - The environment plays a key role in extending and supporting children's development and learning.
  • Learning and development - Children develop and learn in different ways and at different rates.  All areas of learning are equally important and inter connected.

Facilities
The nursery is well equipped and has been specially adapted to provide both an efficient and child friendly environment, whilst maintaining the familiar atmosphere of a home. The nursery comprises four main rooms, enabling us to separate children for quieter activities, pre-school sessions, arts and crafts and rest periods. There is a reception/cloakroom area with well-appointed toilet facilities.
A private and well-protected garden enables outdoor play and activities such as planting and growing flowers and vegetables.

Meals
Nutritionally balanced meals are prepared daily on the premises by our qualified cook. Special diets are accommodated where possible and parent's suggestions are always welcome.
